Book Blogger Hop

I’m trying something new this week!

Book Blogger Hop

I thought it would be a great start to the new year to get to know some new book blogs, so I’m joining in the Book Blogger Hop at Crazy for Books.

The question for the week is
“What book influenced or changed your life? How did it influence/change you?”

Books have always given me comfort and companionship, and as a group, many have formed who I am, but I’m not sure that I can point to any specific titles that changed my path.

I’ve actually looked for books about people like me over the past few years (generally or in specific ways), and have decided that my world is much too uninteresting to write much about.

If you read this post, I’d love it if you’d post a comment and say hi.  If you leave a link to a blog, I’ll stop by there and say hello as well!

Saw your blog on the blog hop and thought I’d say hi! I was looking through some of your books and I saw that you did a review on “When We Were Orphans”. My book club is getting ready to read Never Let Me Go for our January selection. I’m glad you liked that one but it’s to bad that Orphans didn’t live up to it.

I agree that so many books provide me with comfort and companionship as well. Thanks for sharing your thoughts and stopping by Reading Lark. 🙂

I can’t think of any specific title either, but books in general have definitely improved my life.

I couldn’t think of any one specific book either. Each book I read affects and influences me in some way, you know what I mean?

Glad to have found you via the Hop!

Okay as a kid it would have to be Heidi and Little Women, the former my good friend read to me in her room when I was twelve. I had my period for the first time, terrible cramps, etc, and I laid on her floor and for the next several hours she read to me. One of the most beautiful days of my life.

The other one would be Gilead by Marilynne Robinson. I don’t even know how to talk about it other than to say it forever changed me.

Hopping through. I can’t point to one book that has changed my life but some books have opened doors to new genres. Like Harry Potter and fantasy.
    Happy weekend!

It’s complicated, indeed, to point just one book… For me it was easier because if it weren’t for Harry Potter, I wouldn’t have met Guta, so I wouldn’t have started blogging about books lol
