BBAW: Reading Meme

15 Sep

Today’s Book Blogger Appreciation Week event is a reading meme. I’m taking the approach of trying to answer each question in 5 words or less. Click above to see how other book bloggers answered.

  • Do you snack while you read? If so, favorite reading snack? chocolate
  • Do you tend to mark your books as you read, or does the idea of writing in books horrify you? doesn’t horrify me, don’t anyway
  • How do you keep your place while reading a book? Bookmark? Dog-ears? Laying the book flat open? Bookmark, usually
  • Fiction, Non-fiction, or both? 95% fiction
  • Hard copy or audiobooks? 60% paper, 40% audio
  • Are you a person who tends to read to the end of chapters, or are you able to put a book down at any point? I’ve learned to stop anywhere
  • If you come across an unfamiliar word, do you stop to look it up right away? Nope.
  • What are you currently reading? A Note from an Old Acquaintance
  • What is the last book you bought? Second Honeymoon
  • Are you the type of person that only reads one book at a time or can you read more than one at a time? Always have 2 to 4.
  • Do you have a favorite time of day and/or place to read?  no
  • Do you prefer series books or stand alone books? both
  • Is there a specific book or author that you find yourself recommending over and over? Laurie R. King
  • How do you organize your books? (By genre, title, author’s last name, etc.?) Size then author

Chocolate is my downfall. I love it. I’m always impressed with people who can read multiple books at the same time. I tend to get hooked into one and just want to finish it before moving on.

I would probably eat chocolate while reading if I wasn’t worried about getting it on the book! I also rarely read more than one book. It depends on how slow my current read is. I prefer to stick with one.

A lot of people are clearly more talented than I am! I can’t read more than one book at a time and you all can.
